The Government is taking action to bolster the digital economy by progressively introducing e-Invoicing, aiming to enhance tax administration management efficiency in Malaysia. This initiative aligns with the 12th Malaysia Plan, which prioritizes fortifying digital service infrastructure and digitizing tax administration.
The implementation of e-Invoicing will facilitate near-real-time transaction verification and storage, serving Business-to-Business (B2B), Business-to-Consumer (B2C), and Business-to-Government (B2G) transactions.
Taxpayers can access and download all guidelines and SDKs through IRB
The e-Invois Micro Site, hosted on the Official Portal of the Inland Revenue Board (IRB), has recently added the Beta version of the Software Development Kit (SDK) to assist taxpayers. In a statement released today, the IRB detailed that the SDK covers various topics such as Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), input and output standards, standard error codes, document type descriptions, validation logic, code tables, integration guidelines, and frequently asked questions.
Furthermore, the statement mentioned that alongside the SDK, the e-Invois General Guidelines (Version 2.2) and e-Invois Specific Guidelines (Version 2.0) have also been uploaded to the e-Invois Micro Site for reference.
